an independent penumbra validator
Penumbra is a shielded proof-of-stake network. Transactions are private by default: balances, history and trading activity are encrypted end to end, and the chain itself cannot read them. Financial privacy is a prerequisite for free association, free speech and resistance to coercion; a ledger where every payment is public gives all of that away.
A network like that only stays alive if independent operators keep validating it. That is what we do here.
Delegating UM gives voting power to a validator and earns you staking rewards. Spreading delegations across independent operators is what keeps the chain hard to stop and hard to capture. Your UM stays shielded and stays yours; you can undelegate at any time.
The stake page connects to your own wallet, shows what you hold with antumbra.net, and lets you delegate or undelegate. It runs entirely in your browser; we never see your keys or balances. You need Prax (browser extension) or Zafu first.
